Who are we?

A place of passion

Situated between Arles and Avignon, in the heart of Provence and a stone’s throw from the Alpilles, the JC Ranch is a 4-hectare western-style riding centre, entirely dedicated to a passion for horses.

Focusing on teaching, Quarter Horse breeding and the training of reining horses, the ranch offers a comprehensive range of services: lessons, livery, breaking-in, training and competition. Each activity forms part of a holistic approach, centred on respect for the horse, progress and the quality of the work.

Run by an experienced family-based team, JC Ranch draws on over 30 years’ experience, enriched by training in the United States with renowned reining professionals, as well as various professional training courses and qualifications in France. This expertise is now reflected in a structured teaching programme and competitive results, from regional to international level.

  • A keen rider since childhood (trained at traditional riding clubs and then at the family ranch)

  • Three years working for Mr Tim MOSS as an assistant coach, including competition trips (USA)

John has a long track record in NRHA reining competitions, from regional to international level, mainly with horses he has trained himself.

«My training in the United States and my experience spanning more than 30 years have taught me a number of things; technical skills, of course, but also a certain intuition and a keen eye for detail.
